This morning I finished reading Laurie King's A Grave Talent.
Went to the computer to research Medals of Honor awarded to officers for bravery. In Encounter, Inspector Sanchez's father was awarded the Purple Heart for going above and beyond the call of duty. I am working on the story line for him and his early retirement. Also, a mother's lament. Worrying all those years about her husband on the force, to finally see it come to an end, and then, to begin all over again with her daughter. Ideas merging, mixing, blending... verisimilitude!
